Our Easter weekend has been filled with lots of fun & business, but this morning I took the the time to remind my kids what the true meaning of Easter was all about. I found a recipe from "Women Living Well" blog by Courtney called "Resurrection Rolls". Here are some pictures of Kali making them. Resurrection Rolls Ingredients:
1 can of Crescent Rolls
8 large marshmallows
melted butter
cinnamon & sugar
Take one triangle section from the crescent rolls - This represents the tomb
Take one marshmallow - which represents the body of Jesus
Take the marshmallow and dip it in the butter & cinnamon/ sugar mix - This represents the oils and spices the body was anointed in upon burial.
Lay the marshmallow on the crescent roll and carefully wrap it around the marshmallow. Make sure all the seams are sealed(otherwise the marshmallow will ooze out..which happened to us..)
Bake rolls according to package directions. Let cool. Break open & the body of Christ is no longer there!
